COMMITTED TO THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS.

During the 2017 G7 Environmental Summit in Bologna, Italy, IRP partners join the SDG Media Zone to discuss the public-private partnership with the Republic of Palau to help achieve – and surpass – its renewable energy and sustainability goals.

 

 

THE PALAU ENERGY SUMMIT.

IRP partners met with stakeholders from across the country, including the Council of Chiefs, which advise the President on matters concerning traditional laws. It was critical to secure political – as well as cultural – support from leaders representing the people and values of Palau.

DETERMINING THE SCOPE AND SCALE OF PALAU’S TRANSFORMATION.

IRP partners toured the country identifying renewable energy and microgrid opportunities. Given the vulnerabilities of small island developing states, it was imperative that the partnership address both climate mitigation and climate adaption challenges.

 

 

A SCALEABLE SOLUTION FOR THE WORLD.

GridMarket was honored to have been one of seven companies invited by the SDG Action Campaign to showcase its solution for helping the world achieve the SDGs during COP23 (Bonn, Germany). Nick highlighted the partnership in Palau and how it represents a scalable model for SIDS.
